Second Thessalonians 2:1–12 discusses the 'day of the Lord'. Some Thessalonian believers were confused, thinking they had entered this time of hardship and judgment. Paul tells them to put such thinking aside, regardless of the source. He assures them the day of the Lord will not commence until a rebellion or apostasy occurs, followed by the emergence of the man of lawlessness. This figure will try to take on the role of God and deceive those who are lost and have rejected the truth. Empowered by Satan, the man of lawlessness will deceive unbelievers by performing signs and wonders. But at His coming, Jesus Christ will destroy the man of lawlessness.
2nd Timothy 3:16-17 (How to apply these verses.)
1st Cor 10: 14 - 33 Paul continues through chapter 10 by reminding the Corinthians that they must flee idol worship and any appearance of supporting the demonic practice. They are free to eat meat if they don't know that it is idol food. However, they should be ready to set aside their own freedoms and rights whenever doing so will glorify God and win others to Christ.

Ephesians 4:17–32 The second part of this chapter. Paul focuses on the new life believers have in Christ. Believers are to no longer live sinfully "as the Gentiles do". In this context, Paul uses the term "Gentiles" to refer to those who do not have a saving knowledge of Christ. Non-believers lack understanding and are separated from God due to a hardness of heart. They are calloused to sin. Believers must not be known for this way of life. Instead, believers put off this "old self" and set their minds on spiritual things putting on the "new self" of godly living.
1st Cor 10: 1-13 Paul begins chapter 10 by reminding the Corinthians of how the Israelites brought consequences on themselves in the wilderness. Among their many sins was worshiping idols, and God killed many of them for it.

1st Corinthians 9:1-27 First Corinthians 8 ended with Paul's statement that he would give up his right to eat any meat rather than cause a brother in Christ to stumble. He expands on this further in chapter 9.

Ephesians 3:11-16 Verse 11 begins an important discussion on the topic of church leaders. Paul includes apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Some interpreters believe that pastor–teacher is a single category. These leaders are here to equip believers for the work of ministry and biblical maturity.

Paul agrees with them that the idols are nothing and the food itself is nothing more than food. They aren't wrong on that aspect of their position. So what is the problem? Mark 15:34-16:11 The crucifixion continued. followed by the initial response of Christ's followers to the news of Christ's resurrection.
Ephesians 3:14–21 The second part of this chapter includes a personal prayer by Paul. He bowed on his knees asking God to give the Ephesians strength through His Spirit. He desired for Christ to dwell in the hearts of the church of Ephesus by faith.
1 Cor 7:17-8:4 Paul encourages born-again Christians to stay "as they are," in the sense of their state of life. This means whether they are married or not, circumcised or not, slave or free, although slaves should welcome freedom if available. In Christ, slaves are, in fact, free, and free Christians are slaves to Christ. Then we are introduced to another issue of the Corinthian church in chapter 8.

Ephesians 3:1–10 In this first passage Paul describes himself by name as a prisoner on behalf of the Gentiles. The gospel was revealed to him as he had previously mentioned and he taught with authority that the Gentiles are now fellow family members of the church in Jesus through the gospel.
Mark 14:66-15:20 Jesus spends the days before His crucifixion as He has spent the previous three years. trying to get the disciples to understand the bigger picture of the Messiah's role in God's plan for the world. Then he is tragically betrayed and we follow Mark as he leads up to the most important moment in history.
Ephesians 2:11-22 Paul talks about unity in the body of Christ. Writing to Gentiles, Paul notes that they were once called "the uncircumcision". But through Christ, the dividing wall has been taken down creating reconciliation and ending hostility. Gentile believers are no longer "strangers and aliens" but are united with Jewish believers in Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:15 - 7:16 Paul corrects some wrong thinking among the Corinthian Christians about participating in sexual immorality.
Chapter 2 of Ephesians makes related points about our status as saved believers. First, salvation is entirely based on the grace of God, not any attempt on our own part to save ourselves. Second, this means all Christians are part of the same family, Jew and Gentile alike.

Ephesians 1:15–23 highlights Paul's thanks and prayers. He thanks God for his readers in his prayers, asking the Lord to give them wisdom and knowledge. His words extend into praise of God for His great might, a description of the resurrection, Christ's exalted status, Christ's authority, and the significance of the church.
Jesus separates from most of the disciples and tells Peter, James, and John to pray that they will be strong in the face of temptation. Jesus walks farther and collapses before His Father in a tortured prayer, simultaneously asking to forgo the cross and submitting His will. The three disciples sleep and are not prepared for what comes next. Follow along with us through what may be the worst and most important betrayal of all time.
1st Corinthians 5 continues Paul's confrontational tone to the Corinthian Church from the previous chapter. They have failed to respond to one among them who is openly committing incest. Paul commands them to remove the man from their community. Paul also distinguishes between the judgment of believers with that of non-believers.
1 Corinthians 1:29 - 2:16 Remember why you came to Christ. And remember what the Lord your God says. Do not live in the world's view of morality.
